Join us for the premiere of a new 40-minute documentary "Sa Amin". The film tells the story of how Filipino community activists and multigenerational families in San Francisco’s South of Market claim a right to the city as they battle displacement caused by urban renewal, real estate speculation and tech booms, and in doing so sustain the cultural heart of the Filipino-American community.

The film is Co-Directed by Dyan Ruiz and Nix Guirre and Produced by [people. power. media]. The Executive Producer is SF Urban Film Fest. The producers will also launch a crowdfunding campaign on May 26th because this important story needs to be shared not only with the Filipino community, but with everyone so that it rightfully becomes part of the story of San Francisco.
