Free and open to the public
Join us at the Victoria Manalo Draves Park for a festive ritual that gathers intergenerational families, artists and activists for a community celebration. The mini-fair will feature film screenings of Sa Amin: Our Place, directed by Dyan Ruiz and Nix Guirre; It Takes the Hood to Save the Hood, directed by Harvey Magsaysay Lozada; and films from SOMA Sapiens, a series by Grant Thompson in partnership with SOMAWest CBD that offers a snapshot of people’s lives in the South of Market neighborhood. In addition to the films, the event will feature food (both free and available for purchase), musical acts by local performers, resource and vendor booths, and Tito Ramon’s Pop-Up Puppet Movie Studio, where kids can make their own puppets and short films!
This is produced in collaboration with SF Urban Film Fest, SOMA West CBD, [people. power. media], SOMA Pilipinas Cultural Heritage District, Kultivate Labs and generously supported by the SOMA Community Collaborative, the California Humanities, and City of San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
