SOMA Pilipinas and SOMA West CBD will be celebrating the completion of two murals by Pinay muralists on Russ St with an afternoon of arts activities, food, and performances. 

The Pagsasama-Sama mural painted by ChiChai Mateo celebrates SOMA Pilipinas’ legacy of community members coming together, and how Pina/xys interweave like the solihiya rattan pattern, creating bursts of sun and breathing life into the neighborhood.
The Carabao mural painted by Trust Your Struggle members, Cece Carpio and Franceska Gamez, features a magnificent carabao resembling hard work, dedication, and the spirit of bayanihan.

Join us on Wednesday, June 26 from 2:30-4:30PM on Russ Street (near Folsom, across from Victoria Manalo Draves Park) to celebrate both murals!  Please note, Russ Street will be completely closed to traffic so that everyone can gather safely. RSVP HERE!
